Creating a water tight fitting for propane gas line.

Post by Ian Palmer »

I am hoping to create a water tight fitting for the propane hose going through the top yet into the cabin. What makes this presumably more challenging is that the gas line has a feeling there’s about an inch wide in diameter but the line itself is only about half an inch wide in diameter so what is the proper method for making this whole. Thank you

You could try something like the Trident, Straight-Thru Fitting - Liquid and Vapor Tight:

Check that it is the right size to pass your end fitting through.

I've used these and was able to pass a standard propane fitting thru it fairly easily. The rubber 'washer' inside stretches enough to handle the greater diameter.
