I think this might be the year I install an actual stereo in the boat. Getting tired of hearing the ipod-external-speakers thingy smash to the cabin sole while riding a big wake.
Where does everyone have their speakers? High on the forward bulkhead of the "salon"?
Kinda tough to find a place in the cockpit of a triton. Perhaps just a pair of smallies in that little patch of bulkhead at the aft ends of the seats?

Re: Speakers
And now for a real answer.
I put mine up in the top outside corners of the bulkheads in the saloon. If I were doing it again, I'd choose the same location, but would use a small surface-mount cube speaker instead of the "flush" ones.
Actually, truth be told I don't know if I'll install a stereo again on another boat. We never listen to it, so it seems a waste.

Re: Speakers
I mounted a set of bose out door speakers under a plank of AZEK that mounts to a bracket on the pushpit.
Picture the azek like a cutting board or shelf across the pushpit. I have a slotted bracket attached to the pushpit and the shelf has two bolts that slip through the bracket and a set of wingnuts to hold them tight. The top of the speaker shelf makes a great spot to grill or fish from.
Wires are run through a stern vent and I use a trailer plug to make it easily removable.
When I leave the boats the speakers are safely down below out of the weather and safe from theft. I can take some pics tomorrow.
