Hi,
Looking at turning my lazarette into a vented locker, but having a hard time finding the little float balls type cockpit drains that cut off the flow of water coming in, but let it out just fine.
Anyone have a source? I've seen them hanging in shops, but for the life of me can't find a catalog that has them...
Thanks,
Zach

Re: Float ball cockpit drain...
Zach,
If you don’t need stainless or bronze, these are economical and should be durable:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BOAT-FIT ... 240%3A1318
Or:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-Cockp ... 240%3A1318
I bought two assemblies for my Tartan 34C with the thought that they would be covered by a cockpit grate, and therefore not really visible. They are much sturdier than what came off my boat. They are roughly the same dimensions as the Perko versions, so if I find a good deal on a set I have set up the recesses to fit either.
Perko makes the stainless and bronze versions and they are also available on ebay starting at $65. They retailed for around $120, if I remember correctly, back when I got them for my Triton project.

Hope this helps,
Joe.
