Painting Interior

Post by Marshall Wright »

Greetings,

I've read lots of the posts regarding painting bilges, storage areas and interiors. I have to do all three. Question, can I use Bilgecoat for both the bilge and storage hatch areas? Is bilgecoat somwhat too rough for a hatch areas?????

Or should I switch to a more smooth finishing paint for the hatches? The posts on interior finishes were most helpful and I know what to paint in those high visibility areas.

Thanks for any helpful hints.

I used some Bilgecoat in my engine"room" last summer and quite liked it. I intend to use in in some storage lockers this spring since it looked good and had a smooth finish. Seems very suited to the purpose IMHO. Best regards, David

Ditto. I used it under the vanity in the head. Great stuff.

A friend of mine uses bilgecoat for the deck of his 18' pointer. It has held up for at least three years of abuse.
