Through the gel coat

Post by mobilchuckje »

There are a couple of areas where the gel coat has really given up the ghost:

In areas like this where I've ground out quite a bit of the gel coat my plan was to cover it with an application or two of S3 QuickFair, coat with epoxy, then prime and paint with the rest of the deck.

Does this seem like a reasonable approach?

How dry should I be keeping this area. You can see that it's close to the end of the awning and it gets sprinkled on in a North wind.

Thanks so much,
chuck.

Seems reasonable to me. And a little water isn't going to hurt anything there.
