Morgan 30 Project

Post by keelbolts »

I'm not sure this thread belongs here as I sail her as much as I work on her. She is, to be sure, an ongoing project as everything on her needed to be overhauled when I acquired her. Her name is Celerity and she is a 1970 Morgan 30. The name Celerity is a reuse of the name of a boat that a relative of mine sailed, in the mid-1800's, on the same waters I sail today. Last summer's work focused on fairing and repainting her hull and rebuilding her Palmer M60 engine. This year's exterior projects will focus on refinishing the deck/cabin, new sail covers and other canvas work, and properly installing hardware here and there.

I'll get some photos up as soon as I can figure out how to reduce their size...

Still trying to get it right...

Maybe it's 'cause it's an Apple...

How much deeper would the ocean be without sponges in it?

Can't wait to see photos and hear more about your engine rebuild. I've always liked Morgans.
As eccentric as my boat.
