Classic ID?

This boat is at our marina and have been wondering for a few years what it is, I have never seen it move or owners of it. I figured someone here would know what it was. It seem very narrow and to be about 27-28 feet. Its not a triton, one guy on the dock suggested it was, stern seems too narrow. Just curious anyway

no, this boat is nowhere near 31 feet,no bowsprit and large portlights are way more rounded. I thought i took a better side view but I didnt. I will take a few more pics this week when I head to marina. The boat you have pictured sure is nice though!

If you can get close enough to copy down the registration #'s, Virginia Dept of Game and Fisheries will give you the owners info. Tell them it's docked illegally or you need to contact the owner for some reason....OR, if it has a serial # on the transom, the manufacturers info can be looked up.....OR...if you can get a good shot of the boot stripe from end to end, or just both ends....Good Old Boat magazine has a boat identifier that uses the stripe to id......Or.......just ask the dockmaster if he knows what it is....

At first I thought so too, but when i get a side view shot(tomorrow) you will see that the fixed large portlights are not the correct shape, some one told me me it was a swedish made boat

Go look at Great Dane 28's and you might see some similarities.

Thanks, i looked at that site this morning and then went and looked at the boat again...dont think its a GD28, no aft hung rudder

But here ar some closer pics,
large portlights look very distictive but not like any Alberg or Pearson I have seen

Rhodes Ranger, designed by Phillip Rhodes

Built in Holland

Big sister to Tehani, the Rhodes meridian I had.

thanks, I always look at that boat and thought it would make a stout small cruiser.

Note the classic Rhodes sheer line, In my opinion, he did prettier sheers than Alberg. Really sweet.

For comparison, here's a Rhodes Meridian 25. This was at the beginning of 7000 miles of cruising aboard her, last three years, In fact, pic was taken exactly three years ago yesterday.

for anyone interested, this boat is berthed at my marina and looks as good as pics from outside, although a bit dirtier as she hasnt been washed in a while. Inside I cannot speak of. Looks like a very very nice plastic classic for sure. this pics i posted were taken on those dates. so that is what she looked like then and now
