Hello Rob, I see this is your first post so, welcome to the forum ... the boat is looking great, & the name is rather unique. I initially thought you were giving 'her' away until I realised it was 'her' name. A name that kind of suggests you may have acquired the boat at no cost? ... or? ... tell us more. Also, it looks as if you might have just refinished the deck and toe rails ... have you any more pictures Rob? ... eg: profile? stern?, interior? ... we love pictures.
I am: Bob of Wight.

But the best ship, is friendship and may this always be! ... ... ... A prayer from Ireland.

Is this the same "Scot Free" that appeared on the cover of Good Old Boat last year?

Hi, thanks for the kind words about Scot Free. yes she was on the cover of good old boat. that was my dad and brother out for a sail around Bristol harbor. She has had several names throughout the years but when I found her she was Care Free, just not what we wanted so a little chop of the name and Scot Free was borne (my dad is Scottish also). I have lots of photos I'll see if i can post a couple.

hi all,
meandering about the forum, i found this thread. i know it is a wee bit on the old side, but i can't resist. rob browne is a great friend of mine and i raced Scot Free with him often this summer. here is a shot of us from july 2010. racing on a wednesday night in bristol harbor. blowing about 25. small jib, and a reef in the main. please ignore the slack jib halyard tension. we were having shackle issues...
rob is in the front. i am the one with the serious face watching for black whammy puffs.

Great photo, thanks!
Maybe a bit of jib halyard tension, enough to get the wrinkles out?
Beauty boat...
