All he has to do is wipe those wires with lacquer thinner, and voila!

One of life's pleasures for me is clipping such mares' nests out of my old house and my old boat. And you actually get money for the clippings at your local metal recyclers.

It looks like a familiar rat's nest, except mine waiting for me doesn't have the building wire woven into the mix.
