sorry Mike - Neophyte of sorts with whole picture thing.

The black thing are two black spinnaker halyards
The wooden looking thing is a bronze dorade vent (one on either side of the mast.
The numbers are 15" ("quite standard actually" . . . Dr. Evil, Austin Powers)
you might notice some tan or brown in the rigging by the spreades, that is leather and sewn through the rigging for chaffe gear
Both the Caps and the lowers have Ash shroud rollers ( I realize that the lowers are inside of the caps but the rollers are nice on the hands too. :)

What's the story with that fore-and-aft mooring set up? Is that your usual mooring arrangement? I've not seen that before.

Word on the street is that the boat is so light he has to do that to keep it from floating away (like a balloon, not a boat adrift, of course).

I don't know if the boat is THAT light. The mooring arrangement is typical to rivers or any mooring anchorage where space is tight. As can be seen in the photo there are boats everywhere. 466 is pictured here in the Five Mile River in Rowayton, CT. Boat aside the river is a very nice place.
Jason, you new boat is just tits! I secretly want a J 27 for my zepher boat.
