She needs some work, but I hope, that with your help I can do all necessary work.

Oooh, an "old style" Columbia 29 -- nice find! I saw a few of those when I was shopping, but they were always on the West Coast (logical, of course). You found one in Michigan? Neat.

I guess you can cross "reinforce mast compression beam" off your to-do list!

I see the boat is from Michigan, are you from Michigan as well. I am from Battle Creek, and our 1970 Columbia 34 is in Bay City where we are working on restoring it. Where are you from?

Yes, she stays in Michigan in Muskegon. I'm in Ann Arbor at the University.
I'm affraid, that you won't see her in "bristol" condition Jason. My goal is to see her afloat he he... With my micro, stedent budget and tight schedule (US visa expires in august) I'll concentrate on the essentials.
Known issues:
- crack near to the prop shaft
- signs of delamination near rudder shaft
- wood on the outside needs some work
- Atomic 4 in "fine" condition (cross your fingers)
- increased level of moisture on fordeck and starboard sidedeck (20-50% on moisture meter)
- lack of any instruments, anchors, pumps etc.

What do you think about the deck? there are no signs of delamination so far. Will it survive 12 months ocean cruise?

The rig is strong, no rotten bulkheads, hull with no blisters. Sound boat I hope...

Hi. I was busy for a while.
Plans and sailing don't go well togather, but our plan is:
leave US in late august, when our visas expire (I know, it's the middle of hurricane season, but it doesn't mean nuch for Immigration Office), sail to Bermuda, and south to Caribbean.
Wander for a while in the caribbean and Latin America, and in the spring head home, to Europe, earn some money.
