Tartan 26 #30 (1972) ~ "Pretentious"

I bought her Nov 8, 2003 and she sat on the hard until the July 4 weekend of the following summer whereupon I jury-rigged my Honda 5 outboard on the transom and took her out for a sail.
Then that fall I brought her home. Here is a pic with her mast down in preparation for hauling. I hired a boat hauler as at that point I didn't have a trailer or a truck big enough to pull her:
She's:
26' loa
22'-6" lwl
8' beam
4'-6" draft
5200# displ
2300# lead ballast (external bolt-on keel).
323 sq ft sail area
The interior is simple: head in forepeak, settees p/s, galley divided p/s, quarterberths p/s, then some cockpit stowage.
Her ailments when I bought her included: general neglect, including dirt everywhere, very oily bilge, some soggy areas in deck, strong gasoline odor (leaks), loose leaky keel, obsolete Kermath Sea Pup 5 hp inboard engine, lots of hoses just waiting to burst and sink the boat, etc ad nauseum.
