Rigid Vang for W24

Post by George ( C&C 40 ) »

Hi All,

I'm eager to rid myself of the topping lift on my Wavelength 24. While I'm a big fan of hydraulic vangs, and love the one on my C&C, it seems like overkill for a small boat like the Wavelength 24. Any suggestion for a good rigid boom vang for a race oriented 25 footer that carries a lot of sail and that weighs in at 2700 lbs?

Thanks,

George Jones

Boomkicker.

It'll elminate the topping lift, but still allow good dinghy-like feel when adjusting the vang.

Hi Figment,

Thanks for the note. I also posted this question to the W24 group and everybody there said the exact same thing. Boomkicker! Sounds like the winner.

Thanks again,

George
