KAHOLEE, Tilghman Island
Well that was an experience. About 1030 the fog lifted and I headed out. Most of the trip was was getting out of the Miles River, which went well, the excitement began once I turned into the Poplar Island Narrows, well, actually after I'd got to the narrowest part and it started to rain and the visibility went to about a quarter to a half mile. The chart plotter has a lag to it that is a real pain. Once I lost visual reference on the markers I was running on the plot info from the plotter, but you can make a turn and not get an update for several minutes which makes for some excitement in a narrow channel like that at the south end of the Narrows. I slowed down and made it without incident though and am now tied up at the Tilghman Island Marina.
