Beautiful Fall Sailing in the Pacific Northwest

Post by Bluenose »

We have had a pretty nice fall and one of the nicest Octobers since I have live in the San Juan Islands. I have been trying to get out whenever I can. A friend snapped some photos of us tacking into Fisherman Bay.

The channel is about 60 yards wide to the 1 fathom mark and the wind is almost always on the nose.

These photos came from the Department of Ecology's aerial photos of Washington's marine shorelines. It is a nice resource for boating since it show quite a few entrances.

Great photos, Bill. I recognize that harbor!
Thanks for the link to the shoreline photos. I'll save that one for future use.
