Ahoy All, I am looking for the previous owner of hull #662.I think his name was John Coursen out of Long Island New York as I found his name on sail bags aboard the boat. The reason for looking for him is to find out if he might have the doors for the bulkheads. As the hinges are in place along with latch hardware but no doors. The owner I bought from said the doors were gone when he bought her and that I would most likely would have to have them made or make them myself. He also didn't remember who he bought boat from.Any information or help would be great. Thanks in advance.Baysailer

I just had a look at my records. I will PM you details from the NETA members database.

Yes, John and Marian Courson of Stony Brook, NY owned the boat in 2001.

Did you buy the boat from Jimmy Small?

Britton, yes I did buy the boat from Jimmy Small. And I did get in touch with John Coursen. He's a very nice gentleman and was pleased to hear from me.He gave me the run down on the boat for all the years he owned her and told me that he donated the boat years ago and had wondered what ever happened to her.I did reassure him that she was in for a new life and a pleasant one.The doors that I was looking for that came off her he believed he had and would check and was more than happy to ship them to me. (super nice of him)Also said when he donated the boat she was almost perfect(she's far from that now but will be back in shape soon)and everything was the way it came from the factory(and still is just a little unkept and in need of repairs)so I would like to thank you for your help, baysailer

She was far from perfect when I got her.

:-)

Former owners often exagerate the condition of the boat when they owned them. Tritons in particular.
