Finding religion, one pint at a time.

Haagen Dazs is my new Flying Spaghetti Monster.

As if their Pineapple Coconut weren't ethereal enough, we now have Caramelized Pear & Toasted Pecan.

I think I need to look into converting my Daysailing Icebox into a refrigerated compartment for Haagen Dazs.

Oh great, now I have to get up and drive to the store in the middle of a storm.

(and eat the whole pint because I don't have an ice-cream freezer)

We've been pigging out on BlueBunny lately. The summer I spent sailing in the Bahamas without refrigeration, every time we'd make port there'd be a bee-line for the nearest store's ice-cream freezer. Best thing I've ever eaten.

Just turned in a gift certificate for an ice-cream maker last week. I'm embarrassed to say how much we've been using the thing.

yeah- people who haven't experienced Blue Bell really don't understand. I was reading some statistics about them. They only sell Blue Bell in 13 states, yet they have the third largest sales in the entire country.

When they moved into a new area ( opened a creamery in Georgia) they claimed 36% of the sales in less than 6 months.

Homemade Vanilla is the top seller and my personal favorite. Of course I'm a junkie for Blue Bell so my wife won't let me buy it unless we have company.

Time for a road trip Rachel!!!

Just let me know when the Fresh Peach and Vanilla is in the stores! I can't remember the exact name of the flavor, but that stuff was fabulous :D

You guys got me all excited. I thought this was going to be a thread on beer. Although there is a place in Old Lyme that makes Guinness ice cream. I know it sounds disgusting but it is like coffee ice cream only better.

Speaking of which - not to rain on anybody's parade or anything, but as if oil and gas prices weren't bad enough, here's some real sobering news:
