Triton sail logo

Post by Figment »

I need to put a Triton logo on my mainsail. The boat just doesn't look right, and it bugs me.

I'm assuming that I'm going to need to custom-cut the logo from a blank sheet of adhesive sail number material. Anyone have a good source for this stuff?

In some dusty corner of my mind, I have a faint memory of someone having the proper dimensions or layout for this logo. Can anyone remember who or where or how?

I think I have an Adobe Illustrator file that I made of the logo. Its vector art so you should be able to scale it to whatever size you want. I'll look for that. If not, I could probably create one for you...

Hey Mike,

I can't find that file. If a vector eps would be helpful, I can make one for you.

You can order the material from Sailrite.

The Triton logo is a standard logo that most sail lofts have in their databases; you should be able to get dimensions from them.

Thanks guys.

Nathan, if my sail guy doesn't have the logo in his database, I'll pester you for the vector file. Thanks.

Hey, having a vector file of the Triton logo would be really handy for a lot of things, actually. If you have one or are going to make one and are willing to share, that would be cool!

Not to change the subject, but what if your logo is the wrong color? My logos are all green and I would prefer black or dark blue.

I was thinking of whipping out El Marko but was worried during a rainstorm it might run and ruin the pristine whiteness of the sail.

Could it damage the fabric?

I know this is trivial, so feel free to ignore.

It's a cinch for any sailmaker to change the logos, if you want a different color.

Or, buy some of the material from Sailrite or somewhere and do it yourself. It just sticks on.
