While sanding my topsides today, I noticed the sander seemed different suddenly. Then it started gouging the gelcoat.
Found the bearings that the pad rotates on have already set up. I'm not even done sanding my first boat!
I took the bearings out and found one bearing locked up with sanding dust. I peeled the seal out and washed it out with WD-40. Packed it with new grease and it's working fine until I get new bearings.
Anyone else have these bearings go bad?
