challenger 35 - history a little hard to find ???

Post by krissteyn »

Hi - whilst googling for an alternative long keel ketch - found the Challenger 35 - but despite extensive googling - only found 2 info sites - 1 on founder (Mr Howard D Stern) going to davey jones and 1 from S/V NAMOTU - but nothing in the way of comment on production problems and major design changes or sailing ability ???
Anybody out there got more ?
I was succsessful in investigating Allied Princess/Mistress and was hoping on similar comments...

kris - still going cruising in December ....
dont worry - be happy !

Do you mean the Alden Challenger?

No - Not the alden challenger - from the pics I saw, that boat is a yawl...
this is something else built by "the challenger yacht coproration" , an offshoot of islander yachts...
dont worry - be happy !
