What is she?
I saw this last Augest or September in Noank, CT? Any ideas what she is? She looked to be about the same size as a Cape Dory Typhoon. I should have looked at the HIN #...

Exactly what I see. A Typhoon with a bow sprit. Good looking boat.

Sexy is what she is....that vertical bow and the little sprit....
Wow...
She'd look even better in the water on a close reach....

Re: What is she?
Hmmm. I don't think it's a Typhoon. Bow a little too plumb, coamings and ports don't match. Not sure what it is, but whatever it is, it sure is pretty!

Re: What is she?
Looks like a Herreshoff Goldeneye...Or maybe a Marlin. Not sure a goldeneye has a dead light, but it's about the same size as a Typhoon.

He sure did. Never heard of a Goldeneye, but it's a classy looking boat.

Most definitely a Cape Cod Goldeneye!

Sailing as I do out of Wareham, MA. I have seen a lot of Goldeneyes over the years, drooled over a few......but the current price of a new one at well over $40K and even used ones averaging $10K or so....... Well, my little O'DAY Day Sailer sure is nice! Still........maybe if I won the lottery?? But that would require buying a ticket wouldn't it? By the way, the Goldeneye pictured is one of the most recent ones to be built/sold a few years ago.

Re: What is she?
My neighbor still has his late Dad's 1964 GOLDENEYE for sale, $8,800/BO. He might be willing to let her go for a bit less, or will consider having hte boat repainted for a serious buyer at the asking price.
I think she comes with an electric OB and was used very lightly the last few years that she was in the water (stored ashore since around 2009).
Check out listing on hte Multihull Source web-site. Boat is in Wareham, literally in Cape Cod Shipbuilding's back yard..........and I mean LITERALLY! (MultiHull Source leases land from CCSB).
Still too rich for my (currently underemployed) budget, but would sure like to see the boat go to a good home!
