Spring boatwork weather

Post by Figment »

I figured we could all use a thread for bitching about springtime boatworking weather conditions.

Today is killing me. temps in the 50's, (temps in the shed are in the 70's) with 30% humidity. Perfect painting weather.
And I'm not ready for paint.

I just know that the minute I finish all the fairing and cleaning and lay that last little bit of masking tape, we're going to have two solid weeks of rain.

I'm all for complaining about the weather, but shouldn't we at least wait until the weather really is rainy?

No fair complaining that the weather will be bad when it still is beautiful!

Well he's just complaining in advance, Nathan. You know, staying on top of the project schedule. <grin>

We had a nice day yesterday as I went for my last sail before taking the sails off the boat so I can add the mizzen. Spent this morning stripping the hardware off the stern and now it looks like we have three days of rain. o'boy. I guess I will repair my mainsail cover and varnish my oars.
