Inner forestay halyard block

Post by lsheaf »

The last component I need for installing an inner forestay sail on my boat is a halyard block for raising the sail.
As I will be mounting the block externally on the mast what would be the best way to mount the block to the mast?

Is a mast hound like this a bit too much? It appears these are used for supporting an entire forestay cable.

I believe I had asked this question somewhere once before but I can’t find it in the forum.

I think that's a good choice. It may be for inner stays on smaller boats but it's lightweight and inexpensive enough to be good for your purpose.
