Jib sheet stand up swivel blocks for inner stay jib

Post by lsheaf »

Heys guys,

I’m installing a new inner forestay which a small jib will be hoisted on.
I’m looking at 2 different size stand up blocks which will be mounted to the cabin top for sheeting. Is the smaller block suffice to withstand jib sheet forces in heavy winds for a 30 foot boat?

The small one is probably strong enough but it has 3/8" max line size. The large one is more than needed. I would get the intermediate size 30-19US:
