Paint touch up

Post by Command_1 »

Hello
I have looked for similar posts but found none. My #195 is going to be out of the water this weekend and I wanted to touch up these scratches on the port side. Can I please have some opinions on how I should go about prepping, touching up and finishing. I have some of the paint left, and have an artist’s brush.
I was thinking of sanding just the scratches with say 1200 grit, tacking and then apply a few coats of very fine line paint brush. But how do I polish, just regular boat wax or something special and how long should I wait for the paint to cure ?
Thanks
Antonio
