Beyond the bulkheads

Post by Figment »

I know I'm not nearing the end of a multi-year total resoration, but the past few months have been pretty mental-intensive for me, and I'm starting to get really happy to be seeing some results.

I believe that after months of destruction and chaos, the RE-assembly phase has begun. The bulkhead installation was a major part of this, of course, but other things are getting checked-off the list as well. A new thru-hull for the bilge pumps. Stern tube bored for a longer bearing. Stern tube fattened to mate with new stuffing box hose. The bilge is no longer ankle-deep in woodscraps. And I even managed to get the A4 to crank on its own power (by jumping two dead switches) for a few seconds!

It's becoming more of a Boat and less of a Project every week.

THAT'S what this is all about!
