Re: MSDS'sssss
Anything you put in the boat you should search the MSDS on it to get some idea as to how it may behave in a fire or while installing it. sounds like a good firefighter :) Nah..just a paranoid insurance agent... Would hate to put something in there that gives off some wicked gas at the slightest pro...

Thanks to all for the info - very helpful. Couple of follow-up questions so far: Ric: How did you actually attach the pump to the board? Rachel I used SS machine screws to attach the pump. I used longer screws to elevate the switch above the board by about 2 inches. The board was cut to be just wid...

Wow the thread exploded...in a good way! More info is always better. I am going to get some dolfinite..but I think it may be almost the same as DAP window glazing. Certainly smells and feels the same. I'll set up a sample of each, since I have a can of window glazing and compare them over time. Yes ...

Wooden Boom refit. What are castings bedded in?
Hello Ladies and Gents! I am wooding and varnishing Andiamo's original boom. I know it has been done before so the bedding compound for the end fittings is likely not original. I swear it is plumbers putty or window glazing compound that has hardened up. Is dolfinite like that? Tan, softens with hea...

Don't knockvbthe Cetol until you have tried the new natural teak flavor. None of that orangey-ness. I'll let you know how it holds up. Here is some on Andiamo. Coamings are old cetol, rails and hatches are new natural teak with a couple coats of clear. Here is a shot: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Kzj6D...

So pretty much everyth...

Great story. My SF bay story was in the late 80's we sailed in the Sears cup out of Richmond YC. We won the areas and regionals (both held in Annapolis) in shields provided by the naval academy, but the finals were to be in J24s. So we practiced in J24s all spring/summer on the ches bay. Filling a thru hull without using fiberglass.???
Hello ladies and gents. I have a manual bilge thru hull right below the boot stripe on the port side of the hull. It has NO valve or seacock on it. Just a hose and some clamps. It has me worried even though in 44 year it has never been an issue. I would like to move it to the counter along with the ...
