Re: Triton jumper struts /crossbar, I need to make a copy!
I had the same situation but resolved it. If you have adjustment screw hardware that fits on the two tubes protruding from the mast, what you will need is a piece of half inch aluminum tube about 23" long. Smash the ends, round them with a grinder, drill holes to fit your tension screws and you...

Re: ATN Topclimber
I think my main complaint was the ascender I bought from REI. I used to trim trees years back and tied my own lines. After getting used to the heights it wasn't unusual for us to jump out of trees pretty high up and let go of the knot just shy of the ground and bounce on the line without touching do...

Perhaps if I'm a bit more specific someone will kick in an idea or two. I've had it with winter in general, nothing site specific. Tritons aren't roomy but they're street legal. Mine sits here on a trailer. I'm thinking that come next January I'd haul it to somewhere in Florida, push it over the ban...

Re: Pulling and replacing a cutlass bearing in a stern tube
I did the Sawzall method once. Cutlass bearings are pretty soft. You can finish the cut by hand once you're most of the way through. In my case I decided to really scrutinize the area around the bearing after making most of the cut and found another set screw buried in old paint. The bearing came ou...

Funny, yes, but irresponsible too. He's toying with us in an unfair manner. The shot at the dock is certainly the best. As boaters we can see that he isn't in dire circumstances at that point. As an artist he could choose something equally absurd but without the connotations this image brings to min...

Hell Man, buy the boat for the boat and the trailer's free, or visa versa. Buddy of mine bought a Tripp 30 for the trailer and his boat is now a thing of beauty. Haven't seen the trailer in a while, but the boat is stunning. Take that step.

I can see how to do it from Hamilton's schematic of the various bits they sell, and it makes sense. Their diagrams are very helpful. My guess is that it'll be okay for the four months you plan to have it in. In future stir the paint yourself as you begin, and also stir while you use it. It settles that fast. Go sailing, enjoy it. Anyone else?

Once you've filled the cooler with as much ice as you think you'll need, fill it the rest of the way with sawdust as our ancestors once did. Then don't open it again and your ice will last indefinitely.

If you're putting it in fresh water forget the ablative paint. You'll get the same amount of "fung" with or without that type of paint and that's about all you'll get in fresh water.
