Beta Atomic drop-in mounts

I have read in other threads that Beta motors with the Atomic 4 mounts did not exactly fit or if they did they caused other issues. Those threads being 4 or 5 years old I am wondering if anyone has more recent experience and if so has Beta made any changes to their mounts or the pan that would allev...

Re: New to me Alberg 30 #329

Thanks Duncan! I took possession today. I forgot my phone and camera unfortunately. There is alot of wood that needs immediate attention so I might take a week off to take care of that, pull the motor and clean up in about a month. I am super excited to finally have title in hand, the boat in my mar...

New to me Alberg 30 #329

I'm baaaaack! Literally to the board and home from Saudi Arabia. Most of you probably do not remember but I was in the middle of a purchase of a Triton back in November when I had to suddenly leave for SA. I had to back out of the purchase and was forced to leave a few other things hanging as well. ...

Re: inspection of chainplates

Yes it is definitely worth cutting the liner to inspect. Imagine what could happen if one of them were to fail while under sail with your family or friends aboard.

Re: New to me Triton #202

Well crap. Just found out this morning that I am being transferred to Saudi Arabia effective in 1 week. I am not going to be able to finalize the purchase of this boat. I am supposed to meet with the owner this weekend to make final payment. They are not going to be happy. All of my plans just went ...

Re: New to me Triton #202

I could be wrong about the hull number. I base my understanding of the hull number on the number on this sail and the year I have been told that the boat was manufactured, 1961. The sail might not be the original sail though.... http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee520/Okeebc/Triton%20202%20before/...

Re: New to me Triton #202

Thank you both for replying and for the kind comments! Rachel, Yes, I thought about selling the wheel. I am a recovering pack rat who dreams of a tidy ship so it will either be sold or given away to highest or the friendliest bidder! (there is a joke there) David, Thanks I am glad to be here! I plan...

New to me Triton #202

After nearly a year of trying to decide what boat, then which boat, I have bought a Triton. She is Hull #202 and has been sailing out of Jamesport, NY for the last 4 years. She is in pretty good shape for a 50 year old boat but is going to need a lot of work and updating. First thing that has to go ...
