Was told by a WM employee this weekend that they'll "price match" any price you bring in - internet included. Haven't tried it yet, but if convenience is a factor WM is certainly convenient.

That's sadistic. Do you have to add those cleats to your varnish routine? Is there at least a set screw or something so you can remove the wood dowel pieces easily?

It seems like someone around here had a Sabre 28 listed. A project boat. But heck, you could get it cheap and hire out the refit. And wouldn't it be really ideal if the owner could do even do the work for you and launch it. Now if only I could remember where I saw that boat....

I'll dig it up and try and get some measurements to you Allen. Of course, the quickest/easiest fix would be to replace the o-rings on your current setup. That did pretty well for a couple of seasons. I didn't lube them up either, which I'm sure could only help. In fact, the reason I got a new fittin...

Ariels share this same annoyance. The Ariel Association sells a rudder post bearing like this. I installed mine this year and it has worked out great. Previously, I replaced the o-ring around the original bearing with short-term moderate success. http://pearsonariel.org/discussion/attachment.php?att...
