Hank, I don't have any charts or guides for running rigging but on my Sabre 34 I used 5/16 for my reefing lines. Charlie has it exactly right. The sail can be built at maximum luff length with almost no luff tension and when the breeze picks up the luff can be tensioned using the cunningham without pulling the boom below the black band. This allows a maximum size luff on the mainsail under all conditions.

I agree with mitiempo. I would use butyl wpecifically because of its elongation capability and because it never hardens. Good luck!

Whether you clean the bronze or not, to avoid staining the sail, use a dry film lubricant such as McLube SailKote in lieu of WD-40

My guess would be either an overboard head discharge seacock (usually 1.5 in hose diameter) or a sink drain seacock (these are usually either 1.25 or 1.5 inch hose diameter)

Most roller furling booms that I have seen used a claw with a couple of plastic rollers. If you are going to go with slab reefing I would either attach a soft vang with a standard boom bail or install a rigid vang such as the Garhauer and do away with the topping lift at the same time. Good luck

Here is a source for many different (and some new style) blades for the Fein, Dremel, Bosch, Porter Cable, Rockwell, Skill ande other brands. I can't vouch for the quality as I just found this site. If the quality is good, this may be a great source.

Ash and Cypress are commonly used woods for hull ceilings. I used satinwood primarily because a friend had a large supply and it looks very similar to cypress when varnished. I was told last week that Dave's Owens Aruba is sunk over in Mill Creek Just upstream from the tug boat docks. Evidently the new owners did not do much maintenance after she was launched. What a shame!

What you refer to as a T-bar is actually sail track and the piece that slides on it is the goose neck fitting. You should be able to get replacement track from any good chandler. Try Google and search for sail track. Good luck.
