The termites were not bad, but figured that tenting and gassing them wouldn't hurt. The cockpit was mostly damaged from fresh rain water getting in. Its just not good to let a boat sit unused/neglected. To be fair to the previous owner he was 80 and in poor heath. At this point everything that leake...

Two yrs ago I got my schooner.. It sat unused for many yrs with a large hole in the cockpit from a missing compass along with seat scuppers with no pluming, Causing dry rot and termites.
