Good books on wiring

I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations for books on wiring sailboats. I'd like to start rewiring my Bristol 26 this year, since a previous owner decided to locate most of the wiring loosely in the bilge (under the companionway step). I've watched James' video on rewiring multiple tim...

Re: How do you fuel your boat?

I worked on a research trawler for a couple years, and we used to use a wooden stick to measure the fuel level. If it's a straight fill tube, that might work, or, if the fill tube isn't straight, you could make a "dipstick" out of something flexible. You could mark it at the full level.

Re: Reconstucting the Chainplate Knee and shelf from the dinette area on our Bristol 26

I just remembered why I used a sawzall to cut the stainless chainplate. I had ran out of cutting wheels for my angle grinder, so I used the sawzall instead. As for the totalboat barrier coat, I was happy with it. I don't have any experience with the interlux, so I can't compare it, but I'd definitel...

It wasn't too hard to drill the chainplates. I drilled pilot holes, and opened them up with a unibit and lots of cutting oil

Reconstucting the Chainplate Knee and shelf from the dinette area on our Bristol 26

I put this project on my website, but thought I'd post it here to possibly get some expert opinions on the project. I did this last summer, and will probably start the starboard side this year. Let me know if you think I should do anything differently. https://www.overthereef.com/wp-content/uploads/...

Where to mount bow cleats

We've owned this Bristol 26 for about a year now. I'd like to mount two cleats on the bow so I can add a second mooring pendant. The single cleat is aluminum and doesn't have enough room for the loop on my pendant to pass through. https://www.overthereef.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/20191127_11395...
