Re: false keel

James in regard to the aft water tank it wasn’t a very deep tank. I just followed the contour of the floor upward toward the back so you can’t open the front inspection plates without it being drained down a good ways if that makes any since. But the water tank reaches all the way back right in fron...

Re: false keel

I’m right in the middle of adding a shoe on my keel. I’m having mine done at a fabrication shop with stainless steel with a brass bushing for the ruder shaft. Are you all thinking that the false keel isn’t strong enough to hold the shoe on with out filling it all the way up with epoxy. I don’t know ...

Re: false keel

I wish this trend would have been up before I built my water tank over that false keel. I don’t know if it helps any at this point but every body around here when it comes to rebuilding the Transum of these boats there using Sea cast. it comes in five gallon buckets you just mix and poor.

Bimini dodger on my Triton

Ordering the dodger Bimini extension bow set from sail rite and it looks like it’s adjustable on width and height. I don’t have the mast up on my boat and was wondering if any body had the Dimensions on how high I could go with out hitting the boom. Boom clearance for the dodger and bow extension wo...

Free Triton and 4000 dollar Trailer a factory built trailer with SN# all though the boat was free so far with labor and materials this little boat is creeping up on 18365 dollars and I still haven’t completed the running rigging and standing rigging and new sails. Bow Roller

I’m getting ready to mount my new anchor roller on the bow of the boat. I know it needs to be in line of the anchor locker but I’m a little lost on how far to mount the over hang. I’m thinking it’s all according to the shank length on the ancho but I haven’t got the right anchor yet that I’m going t...

Re: PEARSON TRITON 28 hull 230

Oops I might have messed up on the fasteners on the hand rails I used regular bolts that ran all the way through from one Handel to the other. I covered both ends with teak plugs and sealant. I figured if air and water couldn’t get to them they would be fine. The coach roof I used stainless and the ...

Re: PEARSON TRITON 28 hull 230

I picked that toilet up off eBay for 150 dollars and it come with the pump and handle Complet. It was very lightly used condition.
I still have to plum it in with holding tank nut looking forward to that.
I might go with a composting toilet maybe a c- head if I do and you want it I let you know

Re: Pearson Triton Hull #663 - My new boat pics

Like that blue color on the sides. I wanted to paint Mine a different color but I’m afraid of it generating a lot of heat down below. Good color for the northern climates but down here in the south silver and white about the only colors you can handle

Re: Rudder

Hey James did you order your shaft with the key way already cut or did you have it cut afterwards? Mcmasters has 1 inch shafts with keyway already cut into the shaft. The shaft with keyway cut is a little pricey 352 dollars for 72” I’m sure you would have to have a machine shop cut the keyway and th...

Rudder

I pulled my rudder off and only had a tape measure to measure the shaft size. It look like it about 15/16 am I reading that correct form those that have replaced there’s before? I looked in mcmasters catalog and there is stainless shaft available in 15/16 6 ft lengths. I’ll need another foot or so a...

Re: Aries windvane

I have a couple shops local that I might could get some quotes from. I’m the same way I’ve only had maybe three jobs done professionally by a professional. One was a taxidermy, a decal cut out to specs and dentistry work crowns and fillings but before use him I tried the over the counter filling pas...

Aries windvane

I bought an Aries wind vane off eBay for my Triton I think it will work on there alright but I thinking I’m going to have to shorten the ruder shaft a little and take the mounting brackets to a machine shop and have them cut and welded at a new angle. I only got two of the clamps with the unit that ...
