Re: Chartplotter vs ipad
Good question , I have been giving it thought myself . I was thinking of the new Furuno radome coupled with the iPad . The iPad I reasoned would be set under the dodger . A little off topic the Furuno radome only needs a power cable , then uses blue tooth for the iPad . I think that is nice , less w...

I'm sort of thinking about this . It's kind of a box spring for your mattress also could help getting some air circulation .

Re: Screws vs rivets for spars
Some people will disagree with this . I use brass screws , and insulate the best I can . IE .. Of course you must use Stainless parts , like your pole mount . I get some plastic (milk jug) and make a insulator , don't let the SS touch the Alu . and use brass screws . Corse threads are best . I would...

My friend Don found out about this stuff , we put it on his boat (Catalina 32) after a few adjusts on the gland nut we got it to stop leaking . For halyards , main , jib , I would say no bigger than 7/16 . I like Sta-Set New England , not to be confused with Sta-Set X . For sheets possibly but not necessarily 1/2 , because it's easier on the hands . For Spinnaker I'm thinking 3/8 halyard and sheets .
