Re: Alberg 30 chain plate move

I have been reading people commenting about exterior chain plates affecting performance. I don't know if this would be a big deal or not. My biggest concern with the existing chain plates is the inspection of the knees. They are wrapped in fiberglass so it is difficult to know their condition. I hav...

Alberg 30 chain plate move

Has anyone moved their Alberg 30 chain plates outboard? I am working on my liner Alberg over the next 5 years before retirement and have lots of time. My Compac 23 has outboard chain plates that I replaced and it is nice to have the clear deck and easy access to the chain plates plus the deck penetr...

Alberg 30 v-berth liner removal

Since the interior liner supports the bulkheads, how has anyone removed the v-berth liner? Did you leave floor pan part in place and reuse part of it or remove it entirely? Any pictures that show what the v-berth looks like after liner removal before reconstruction would be great.

Deck hardware and interior liner Alberg 30

I have seen various posts about deck hardware and liners, but have another question I didn't see answered. What if there is deck hardware that you can't access the nut because of the interior liner? When you go to do work on the dead lights, what happens with the liner? Is the liner pinched to the f...

Re: Alberg 30 liner

I have looked at Jame's video where the liner has been already cut out and he is doing the work. I couldn't tell how thick the sole liner was. I am 6'1" and would love a couple inches.

Alberg 30 liner

I would like to gain some more headroom in my 71 Alberg 30. It turns out it has a liner. I was under the impression from the seller it did not have a liner. How much height is the floor liner taking up? I would like to maximize my headroom while maintaining as much floor area as possible.

Alberg 30 Liner

How difficult is it to remove the liner on an Alberg 30? Once the liner is removed, what condition is the hull in? Can one finish the hull by painting at this point? Are the liners installed with difficult to remove adhesives?
