Re: The boat you want to sail Vs. the boat you want to resto

This past spring I sold my Triton as well. I had done quite a bit of work on it, and was often asked why I was selling after all that time/effort/money invested. My first response was to point out how often folks renovate a home only to turn around and sell it. But the real answer lies in how I want...

My "new" boat, a Nimble 30 yawl designed by Ted Brewer, was launched today in North Falmouth, MA on Cape Cod. The current plan is to sail her north to Boston this Friday. Emily Hope 2012-06-12.jpg I think you guys should be able to get to this photo album on Facebook: http://on.fb.me/MC6zz...

I asked the owner recently about the location of the photos he sent me. Thanks Bob. I shopped for boats for a while and every boat I was interested in involved some type of compromise. After being a Triton owner for the last 12 years, I decided to move up to a newer boat. I am now the owner of a 1987 Nimble 30 yawl, designed by Ted Brewer. If you're in the market for a Triton with extensive renovations please get in touch! Here's a picture of the Nimble taken on Cape Cod. She does...

You might try the Zephyr Spars division of Cape Cod Shipbuilding in Wareham, MA.

They primarily fabricate spars for smaller boats but may be able to do a Triton mast. Their customer service is very good.

Rachel, when I mentioned the boat had a new rudder I neglected to say that it is a bronze frame with a fiberglass shell and a foam core. The ports are all new. I don't know if this helps, but I have a mast from a masthead Triton yawl that I would let go VERY cheap. The mast is in Boston, MA. I don't have the dimensions handy but it's around 30'. If you're interested send me a private message.

I've been frustrated for years with the deadlights (fixed ports) on my Triton. As anyone with similarly-constructed ports will tell you, they are not easy to install so that they don't leak.
