10" Circ saw blade for G10/FRP

I am going to build a new companionway hatch and sea hood partially out of G10. To do this I am going to need to rip some lengths of 1-1/4" and 1" G10 bars down to 3/4". I am also making my backing plates out of G10 so the blade I end up with will be used heavily. To save money by not...

Polishing aluminum

I have recently removed some (a lot) very tenacious silicone from my deadlight frames and wish to brighten them up. Before I do anything though I want to know if I even can. Can aluminum be polished without ruining it? If yes, what would be the preferred method?

Thanks in advance,

How do you cut balsa without it coming apart? My last (and first) foray was cutting round plugs and it turned out ok but I know there has to be a better way. If the building is in the way, pull the load off onto three 10" pvc utility pipes, the thick sewer/water kind. You can slide a heavy load on top of those pipes sideways very easily. If you drop the cradle at the corner of the building, you should be able to slide (not roll) the cradle sideways...

10oz cloth wet thickness for planning purposes

Bear with me, I have very little real world experience with fiberglass repairs. I am thinking to repair some holes in my boat and I do not feel comfortable guessing. According to the West System book, 9oz cloth is 0.017" and 12oz is 0.020". So I would call 10oz 0.018" more or less. So...
