Re: New owner with questions 1959 #16

I own Triton 703, one of the last built. I've been following on You tube "Acorn to Arabella". the guys are building a 38' wooden sailboat. They cut up a Triton to get the lead keel to use in their boat. They saved all hardware. I believe it is for sale. It is bronze. My triton has aluminum...

Re: Part ID thru hull?

I might use the stuffing box again, but the thru-hulls, since not installed, I'd replace with new marelon thru-hulls and valves. No electrolysis for one thing.

Re: mast end attachment for vang

Next time out, try 3-4 wraps of a line at the bottom of the mast, it shouldn't slip and the angle will be improved; at no additional charge!

Re: mast end attachment for vang

I just saw this post, you may have solved the problem already.... On Artemis , I simply wrapped 8-10' of old 3/8 halyard around the mast base and tied a square knot tight to the mast, then hooked the snap shackle of the lower block around one loop. This has been working fine for 5 seasons and no add...

My concern is the mast track, which is original, seemingly in good condition. Is it required to change the mast track to go with full battens? This would nearly do...

Re: transducer

Thanks to all. After several phone calls, I decided to order Airmar's P319. Some surgery will be required , but I will install it in the location of the original one

Re: transducer

transducer

ahoy! I purchased a Lowrance HDS7 chartplotter/fishfinder at the Defender sale. I'm getting baffled at which transducer to get for it and the best place to install it. I removed the old (original) one which was on the centerline thru 3" of fiberglass directly below the v-berth insert. Any sugge...
