LOL It works well on the grills also. I thought ours was a gonner as far as looks go but it took away the burned look.It does leave a brownish residue that takes a few wipes to get off.

I tried the Spotless stainless first but even the Rep at the Miami sail show said it wouldn't work on a high heat stain. I have noticed the stove top has dulled so I'm going to try the Spotless Sainless now the stain is gone.

As I was digging thru the cleaning suppies I found a bottle of The Works with just enough cleaner to do the job, and what a great job it did.

WOW thanks I will give the works a try as soon as I can get out and get a bottle, Funny thing is we just went thru 2 bottles of The Works cleaning the rest of the boat with great resalts but never thought about trying it on the stove. I will post how it works soon.

I've been dreading asking this question thinking I already know the answer...but is there any way to fix/remover a high temp burn/stain on a stainless stove?

When the law changed about window tint for cars I found the A&A mix worked great for removing the tint adhesive with out worry about the interiors of the cars. Did 100+ cars in a few years time.

50/50 mix of alcohol and amonia but it stinks and you want to have things well vetilated

Souinds like it could use a good taking apart cleaned and greased. You want to look at the grears if you haven't seen them before. I would also question the cable if I didn't know its age.

A 44' swing keel sounds sweet, all that room with out grounding. Can you post a picture?

Yes and the crack was filled with clear calk by the PO. Ihave sailed this thru a gale storm and haven't seen any problems do to this and no leaks in the cabin.

I would think you would want to make the patches small as possible so not to change the flex of the mast is a good idea. what about an internal sleave also so the hmast can not be de-pressed. I use white vinegar, slosh it around and then rinse with water, also in the lines to get that plastic taste gone.

It might have to do with the fact I paint alot of cars but I scraped the bottom paint off my C-22 with a single edge razorblade and a cheap $1 holder in less then 5 hours. Watco teak oil is what I've been useing and it has all the teak on my C-22 that was neglected for 15+years looking beautiful.

My new tiller is in the mail as I type this. Well selling off parts from a "parts" boat the person that bought the rails said his father-in-law made his tiller and for a great price would make me a much needed one for my Chrysler C-22

Like the cars I restore, always keep the sanding pads flat no matter what size.

if its taking to long to strip you could try heavier grit sand paper or chemical strip. I much prefer the dust storms.

It is all in the prep so taking your time will mean a better result.
