Re: Triton numbers

Thanks for the answers.
But if #416 is Deep Blue, then what hull number is the one advertized for sale at
http://sancarlosyachtsales.com/ they say its 416 named Cocomo, can anyone shed some light on this highly modified Triton?
Thanks

Answer #374

David Wilson and Answer triton #374 arrived in Bermuda new years day, 25 days out of Madeira island, averaging 119 NM for the 25 days. Thats an average of 4.98 KT, real good for a 49 year old girl.

Re: Quick and dirty soft deck fix

This sounds very interesting. I have worked with gorilla glue and it does expand a lot, but will it be solid enough to properly bond the wet balsa. Please keep us updated.

Tall ship Europa

Well family and friends, it can now be told, I am going to travel from the city of Horta in the Azores islands to Ireland on the tall ship Europa. I have started a blog to document my voyage at http://www.azoresmarine.blogspot.com. Please go and check it out. I will not be able to respond to emails,...

It's not the Bahamas but North West Florida is great all year round. Gives a try, nice airport nearby.

Re: Pos or Neg switching?

My Atomic 4 is wired the same way, its perplexing.
Afraid of getting shocked I always turned off the main switch before touching on the engine. One day I forgot and did not get a shock.
I guess if it’s good for the Coasties its good for everyone else, but like you I don’t understand.

Newport Mansions, very expensive but worth it, if you want to see how our earlier royalty lived.
Its absolutely amazing how the rich live.

Paint touch up

Hello I have looked for similar posts but found none. My #195 is going to be out of the water this weekend and I wanted to touch up these scratches on the port side. Can I please have some opinions on how I should go about prepping, touching up and finishing. I have some of the paint left, and have ...

Appropriate and recommended size for running gear

Input please. Replacing all running gear/lines on my Triton for cruising. I have no idea how old my lines are, or can’t even tell for sure what kind it is. The toping lift already failed dropping the boom inches from my wife. I will not have any cable on the mast just line (can’t stand all the noise...

New paint job for Nossa Senhora Da Conceicao

New paint job for Nossa Senhora da Conceicao. I spent 68 hours prepping it took my friend 3 hours for three coats. After all that work, I still found four dimples. He says that I will be the only that knows. Yah but after all that work I wanted it perfect The last day I spent 2 hours, very slowly lo...

N. Srª. Da Conceição hull #195 saved my life yesterday

I would like to share my experience or lack thereof, with you good folks. Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day in North West Florida, like those Fall New England days that are cool and not a cloud in the sky so blue it takes your breath away (that’s the only thing I miss about Massachusetts). A...

With these types of foam you have to be sure that if a small fire starts that you have the means to get to the seat of the fire. Anything you put in the boat you should search the MSDS on it to get some idea as to how it may behave in a fire or while installing it.

Atomic 4 versus small outboard Looking for opinions on fixing an aging Atomic 4 (1961) versus a small outboard. Well it's here. See Youtube under user name Command11 for arrival video. I cannot begin to tell you how much damage MarineMax did to my boat. Instead of drilling out the bolts on the mast, because they were rounded, some king of prying tool was used inside under the beam. You can see the leveraging ...

To hinge or not to hinge

MarineMax at lake Lanier is beginning to leave a bad tast in my mouth. They have had my boat to haul out for a week, and now, I am told that the step bolts will have to be drilled out at the cost of 2 to 3 hours of labor. So now that I will have to "re thread" the holes, I am wondering if ...

Hull #195 on its way to a her new home

Hull #195 is on its way from Lake Lanier north of Atlanta to her new home in North West Florida. I hope to sail her year round. Many thanks to Kayla her former owner for answering all the questions from a rookie sailor. I have only seen my new boat in pictures, but she already looks beautiful. Antonio
