I discovered our next boat, a Rob Roy 23. We built a new tender for her owner. I love this boat. So it is a Sailmaster and a Rob Roy, leaning toward the Rob Roy. Anybody have anything to say about the Rob Roy?

Re: The search goes on.......
Tom this boat looks good! Buy a brown that looks like wood and paint the toerails with that color! I am thinking of Pettit Easypoxy Brightwork brown. I have used it and from a distance it gives the effect of the traditional Herreshoff style brightwork.
Keep us posted.

Re: thoughts
I can't help but envision a Sailmaster in a deep maroon with ivory decks, a shark white bottom, ivory sail covers, and sparkling varnish .......... Yup, that would be awesome. Keep us posted. I am in too much limbo to move on a boat and am considering going into pro. boatbuilding full time which wi...

Corinthian
I noticed the large foam filled compartment in the bow and immediately thought that would have to go and if it did I'd be able to stretch out for a nap down below. Very important after a day sail. I am finding very little information out there on the Corinthian, but they are up for sale. For a boat ...

Bristol Corinthian
To dovetail a little bit with the Sailmaster 22 thread, I have also been looking for a similar boat and looked at a Corinthian yesterday at Northeast Sailboat Rescue. They are very nice little boats. Not as big as the Sailmaster, but the cockpit looks as big. I think they'd be slightly more performa...

Sailmaster search
I am keeping my eyes peeled for a Sailmaster too. Two things that I would add/change I am glad to see that others have done in those links to the SM22 club in the Netherlands: add a wooden toerail, make the ports smaller (they are too dominant as single, long ports; one or two and definitely one in ...

Thank
I like the Dolphin a lot. The crux to this idea of even getting a boat is keeping cost WAY down. This 22 footer, the Sailmaster, has a tabernacle and it will likely be possible to step the mast without needing to pay a yard to do it...also it can be launched at a ramp and can fit in my driveway easi...

Looking for a new boat
Design parameters: -22 to 27 feet LOA -a daysailor/weekender -room for 4-6 in cockpit (i.e., a lot of cockpit is what we want) -capable of coastal cruising for a couple days stretch -can take some open water sailing (don't mind getting a little wet) -ratio wise, more cockpit to cabin -cabin can be s...
