Re: Yanmar Stop Cable.....Alternatives?
I just replaced my cable. I ordered it from Torresen Marine for $30 and they come in different lengths. You could cut your old one down by carefully cutting the outer cable then replacing the ajuster.

Re: year of manufacture
I think it is possible that if a boat was built in one year and then was shipped to a dealer, then was not sold until the next calendar year, the dealer could have sold it as being a new boat from the year it was first sold. When I bought Alli-Ann (#53), the bill of sale lists her as a 1961 Pearson ...

You could give Tim McKnight at Ocean State boat moving in Warwick a call. He has hauled my Triton for the past 3 years, never a problem.

One thought on tools on the boat:
I have my good tools on the boat but I also have a cheep pair of plyers and a
"fit-all" to take on deck, so I can wave bye-bye instead of saying "Oh S#!T" when
they go overboard.

If you do get to the Providence area, Water Fire is nice but you will have to check the dates.

A question about Ice
Something I have been thinking about lately: Will ice in a cooler last longer if, 1. drain the water once a day 2. leave the drain plug open 3. don't drain until the all the ice is melted. I have some other deep questions like, why are there more horses rear ends than there are horses, but those are...

Sometime in the past week someone broke into my son-in-law's boat and stole a lot of his boat stuff: This happened in the Lincoln, Rhode Island area. Re: New owner of Triton 227
Scott, I checked my original tiller and it is 38" long but I have replaced it with an "off the shelf" tiller from West (I think). I cut it down to a comfortable length, about 35", and routed the base to fit the original bracket. My main sheet starts on the port side with a combin...

Re: Triton Coamings - EC
I took mine off last year. I found 3 broken screws and the PO had rebedded both of the coamings with the evil silicone. I had to cut it all with a hacksaw blade between the coaming and the deck, then scraped & sanded the rest of that s#*% off. A couple of treatments with West teak cleaner & ...

Re: ANOTHER QUESTION ON SODA BLASTING
I have a small soda blaster which works great at getting into small spaces. One problem you may have is getting enough air pressure. Most small diy shop compressers do not have enough CFPM to get the most benifit from the soda blaster. The other thing to think about is the cost of the media. I plan ...

Fireworks in Narragansett bay
I am hoping to see the Bristol fireworks Friday night and I was wondering if anybody knows if we would have a good view out off of Colt State Park? It would be a lot less time for me to get back to my mooring than if I have to go into Bristol harbor.
Thanks

I would like to make a pigstick and I have a couple of ideas on how I might do one but I would like to see how other people have made them.
