Always good to ask! Yes, it will fit no prob...but the 9'6" Nutshell is the question! I would like to build that one since I am 6'6" long myself but that will take up more basement room and may not fit out!

great tips Charlie...for the jig saw I was considering using it to cut planks and the transoms for the Nutshell Pram (but the transome edges are angled/beveled at around 30-48 degrees...it sounds like, in your opinion, that a bandsaw would do better (the transom pieces are not that big...10-20 inche...

Super psyched about the new spinnaker for Cirrus. She loved it. Full and drawing in less than 2kts of wind. And we were moving almost as fast! UK did a phenomenal job and she is pretty to look at....

Did my homework and I willl be going with a POLYSULFIDE to rebed my chain plates. Is one BRAND better than another? 3M vs. LifeCaulk for example. Also, is a slower or faster cure going to give me the best seal? (Slow cure?).

And the wind is from the other direction!!! Yesterday the wind did a funky shift to the east and I though, NOT AGAIN, but fillled back in from the SSW.

I've been teaching my students weather forecasting so I am particularly attuned to the NE/E wind shift....I hope they are too.

I think 101 is the equivalent of LifeCalk. If I've got my facts straight, LifeSeal is a blend of polysulfide and silicon sealants. 101 is Lifecaulk. Life seal is a silicone/polyurethane hybrid and I like it a lot too although it has the silicone characteristics that drives Tim crazy! Cheers, Clint

I am wondering whether to have the yard do my repair work or do it myself. I looked at my insurance contract and it does require an estimate from the yard but not sure if that means the yard must DO the work for full coverage. Any one know based on their experiences?
