Teak Toe rail replacement
i need to replace my toerail on my Alberg 30. I will not replace it with an aluminum one and really cant see spending $$ on teak. What are some other material/woods you all have used.

Ipe.. Used as decking boards on docks. Looks like teak, finishes like teak. Is EXTREMELY dense (won't float), and holds up well

Re: Teak Toe rail replacement
charlie and early thank you,
I had forgotten about an Alberg that used IPE here locally for a toe/rub rail in one. It looked great.
Now let me me change the question just a bit, what if you were going to paint the toe rail? I am not to keen on varnish or the grey look. Actually love the varnish look but just dont like up keep. I also like the all painted look like the Triton pictured.
