Looking for Coast Navigator software

Post by Mike E »

It was used on a ship I worked on recently and is the best I've seen and at a good price. However the url coastalnavigator.com leads to a page that says ....'soon.' Anyone know how to find a copy to buy. That ship is on the other side of the world ...so I'm stuck for now.

I tried the trial of coastal explorer - worked well.

Also take a look at Sea Clear II (http://www.sping.com/seaclear/)

Works well with NOAA raster charts

I use Seaclear and like it alot. It is definately worth the money (free). Also you can always have fully corrected charts for free from NOAA.

I did a three part tutorial on Seaclear at http://www.boatmaine.us/seaclear-training.aspx

The March issue of Cruising World reviews 8 nav programs. I'm using RayTech Navigator since it is designed to work with my Raymarine navigation system.

It is a specific interest. Could be the copy I used on ITB Jacksonville is an advance but it far exceeds all the others in capability. I'll have to keep checking the website.
