OK so she's definitely neither plastic nor classic, and not exactly the prettiest boat around, but WOW is she impressive under sail.... I specifically asked for today off because I knew Maltese Falcon was starting in a transatlantic race from Newport to England. Not every day you get to see something like this under sail. I'm still engineless (broke the shift cable and the yard is being dirt slow fixing it) so I stayed out of the fray of the spectator fleet but still got some good pics while hove to off Mackerel Cove.

I've seen some photos of her sailing elsewhere, but seeing these from your area and with various smaller/local boats around is really nice.

That's quite a sight. I couldn't imagine being at the helm of that thing trying to do close quarters tacking with all those other boats darting about... Must be nerve racking
