Shields for Tritons

Post by Figment »

New Englanders looking for a low-dough option for a decent mainsail, keep your eyes peeled for used Shields sails. Newport just hosted the Shields National Championship regatta, and it was BREEZY. Chances are a bunch of those guys will be ordering new sails over the winter.
Sure they'll hang onto the current set as a backup, but they may be looking to unload the backup-for-the-backup for not a lot of dough.

As it turns out three sets of sails came with Bolero when I bought her. So if anyone is interested please contact my privately for more details.

I've got loads and loads of Shields sails if anyone has that need. Range is from lousy to good. Check your local fleet, as typically no one wants race sails that aren't competitive, although the heavy dacron makes them great for other uses.
