Shifting shoals

Post by Figment »

It wasn't even a particularly low tide today. Last week BOTH marks were aground.

At least with that crowd standing there, there'd be NO excuse for running aground on that particular bar!

The Royal River in Yarmouth might be the closest thing we have to your shifting shoals there in the sound.

The channel's so narrow, and so distinct, that often the little bouys will ground at low tide there too. We passed this one a couple years ago.

I suppose I really am pretty lucky here on Lake Champlain. No tides, and I start to get nervous with less than 75ft of water under my keel.
I want a shop!
