Looking for a Triton on the south shore of Mass. to copy the jumper struts cross bar. My jumper strut cross bar was damaged and then misplaced and now I need to find one to take measurements and photos, to make up a new one. Anybody that hasn't splashed a Triton this spring on the south shore or within about an hours drive of Pembroke Mass, it would be appreciated if you would let me take photos and measurements of your jumper struts/crossbar. Beer or cocktail of your choice would be left as a token of my appreciation.

Pearson made at least two different widths of jumper struts according to one of the sail loft I've talked to. It effects the ability to fly certain spinnakers.

If you measure the length of the rest of the pieces you have, it'll be pretty easy for one of us to get a measurement for you. The length of the side pieces determines the width of the cross bar.

I am a bit out of your range but my mast is currently lying alongside the boat in Newburyport MA.. Overland Marine is the yard name. (google for address) Its the only purple Triton in the yard with the mast alongside so it shouldn't be hard to find. It will be at least two weeks before I launch.

I could probably take pictures and measurements this weekend too.

I'm just up the road in Plymouth, my boat won't go in for at least a week, you are welcome to take measurements from mine.

That sounds great, can you send me the info on location and when it's a good time, it will be pretty quick.

Thanks Britton and Zach for your help, I was able to head over to Barry Browns Triton this morning, he has a relly nice set-up. His Triton is a real beauty.

I had the same situation but resolved it. If you have adjustment screw hardware that fits on the two tubes protruding from the mast, what you will need is a piece of half inch aluminum tube about 23" long. Smash the ends, round them with a grinder, drill holes to fit your tension screws and you're good to go. I'll get you a precise measurement of the cross piece if you need it.

I measured mine today and the two struts are twenty inches long. The connecting link is 31 and a quarter inches measuring center to center of the holes I drilled in it. If your struts are of a different length you will need a different length connector.
